Stripped down and gritty, the Nightster reinterprets the Sportster legend with rugged, minimal neo-retro styling. A solo seat adds to the uncluttered look, as do clipped front and rear fenders that expose chunky tyres. Wheel rims and hubs, forks and handlebars, hand and foot controls are finished in basic black. Fork gaiters and a bullet-hole belt guard offer old-school style. Combination rear LED stop/turn/tail lights are a factory custom first. The classic 3.3-gallon/12.5 litre fuel tank is topped with a simple silver-satin cap. The muscular 1200 Evolution™ engine barks through chrome, staggered dual exhaust mufflers.

In a first for the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the European specification version of Nightster features longer travel rear suspension for improved cornering clearance on Europe's twisty roads. Riders seeking a lower "slammed" look can easily fit shorter rear suspension units offered through Harley-Davidson Genuine Parts and Accessories.

Race-inspired and packed into a true ride for the street, the 883R features twin discs upfront and wide handlebars for intuitive control. Blacked-out treatment throughout, including the 883cc V-Twin engine at its heart which pushes out a healthy dose of torque. Whilst this model has been discontinued from the U.S. Harley-Davidson line-up for model year '08, due to its popularity in Europe the 883R will continued to be offered in the European region.

Sparkling chrome sets the 1200 Custom apart from other Sportster models. A chrome Laced 21-inch front and chrome Slotted Disc Cast Aluminium rear wheel, chrome engine highlights, chrome handlebar and headlight, and a polished fuel tank console give this model a custom gleam. Forward controls and a pull-back handlebar riser put the rider in a laid-back position that's perfect for cruising.
